Veteran actress Kalsoume Sinare stated she would approve of her sons marrying Muslim women, but she hopes Christian girls convert to Islam.
"I am the mother of two grown sons. I normally pray to God for a Muslim female to be sent to me because if it's a Christian girl...
"I don't want to die and have my grandkids pray for me," she explained to blogger Zionfelix. "I will hope one day that if I am not living, my children will simply follow what I left."
Kalsoume Sinare defended herself by claiming that her spouse was a Christian before becoming an Islamist.
She refused to say that her husband's conversion to Islam was the result of her influence, rather than his own free will and love for her.
"I'm a devout Muslim." I understand how tough it is for a Muslim woman to accept a Christian boyfriend or husband because I married a Christian who had to convert to Islam.
I'm not going to pretend that my husband converted to Islam because of me. "It's not about serving a lady; it's about serving God," she went on to say.
She also stated that when it comes to religion, one's choice must be made independently of other influences.
When it comes to religion, knowing God is the ultimate, and you can't just force it on yourself by saying, "I'm in love with her because she's a Christian, therefore I want to be a Christian," or "I'm in love with her because she's a Muslim, so I want to be a Muslim."
"That isn't coming from the heart." It has to be an internal problem. It's critical." She emphasized.
