Xavi Hernandez, Barcelona's manager, has expressed his hope that Ronald Araujo and Gavi would extend their contracts with the club
The 42-year-old was quizzed about both players' contract situations as he spoke to the media ahead of his side's La Liga meeting with Sevilla.
Xavi emphasized the importance of the two players to his objectives and expressed his desire for them to stay at Camp Nou for a long time.
"They are key players, and I place a high value on them."
Of course, the club should extend their contract; they are the club's and project's future.
"I hope they stay for a long time," the Blaugrana leader remarked.
Both Ronald Araujo and Gavi have one year left on their contracts with Barcelona, and negotiations to extend both of their contracts are already begun.
Since being promoted to the first squad in 2019, Araujo has gone on to make 72 appearances for the Catalans in all competitions, scoring six goals.
Gavi joined Barcelona at the age of 11 in 2015 and spent the next six years honing his skills at La Masia.
His senior debut was in August 2021, and he's had a meteoric ascent since then.
A month later, at the age of 17 years and 62 days, he made his international debut, becoming the youngest player to ever represent Spain.
Gavi has since established himself as a regular for the La Liga giants, making 35 games in all competitions in his rookie season.
