The Brentford duo According to Pontus Jansson and Vitaly Janelt, 'counter-attacks' were key for Thomas Frank's side to inflict a shock 4-1 defeat on a 'tough' and'strong' Chelsea side in the Premier League.

The Bees entered the game knowing it was a free hit. They played with freedom from the start, which resulted in the three points that had their fans ecstatic, with many predicting that their safety would be ensured after this latest victory. This victory came despite Antonio Rudiger opening the scoring with a nearly 40-yard screamer in the early stages of the second half, but that goal inspired the Blues' local rivals to transform into prime Barcelona in front of goal.

Despite the Blues' collapse following Antonio Rudiger's opening strike, Thomas Tuchel refused to'make a drama' out of Chelsea's 4-1 defeat to Brentford. As Tuchel's side struggled to respond, Vitaly Janelt's brace, Christian Eriksen, and Yoane Wissa ensured a joyous afternoon for the travelling Bees supporters.

It wasn't the best preparation for Wednesday's Champions League match against Real Madrid. However, this would not be the first time Chelsea sought European success after suffering a crushing defeat.
