DKB, a Ghanaian comedian, believes Will Smith went too far when he slapped Chris Rock at the 2020 Oscars ceremony last Sunday.
According to him, notwithstanding the substance and the person to whom it was addressed, Chris Rock obviously made a joke that did not need to conjure the assault he had undergone.
On Saturday's episode of Showbiz A-Z, DKB noted that jokes have been made about people with various diseases, but never with the intent of harming them, and that actor and comedian Ricky Gervais makes meaner jokes than Chris Rock.
"It's a joke," she says. They say you shouldn't laugh at people about things you can't change, but the entire Ghana has been laughing at the size of my head. Have I been able to change it?
"Major head is a big joke all across the world," DKB added. There were a few scenes in Prison Break where big-headed dudes were mentioned, and it elicited laughing, so I realized the entire world laughs at those with enormous heads."
The comic pointed out that these circumstances are similar to the jokes made by Chris Rock and other comedians regarding a range of people.
Will Smith's actions, according to DKB, were motivated by his desire to prove to his wife and the rest of the world that he can be an Alpha male as well.
He claimed that recent developments, such as Jada's admission that she and artist August Alsina had a "entanglement," had been a "big blow" to Will.
