A CAPE COAST TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY STUDENT WON TWO MEDALS IN A COMPETIT

In Mechanical Engineering CAD and Web Technology, two of the young participants received gold medals. 

 

On social media, beautiful photographs and videos from the closing ceremony presentation have surfaced. 

 

Ghana won two gold and one silver medal at the recently concluded 2022 WorldSkills Africa Competition in Namibia. 

 

Louis Morgan and Manfuki Yao Agbo, two of the young contenders, received gold medals in Mechanical Engineering CAD and Web Technology, respectively. 

 

In the categories of Fashion Technology and Electrical Installation, Ibrahim Adam received silver. 

 

Medals were presented. 

 

The awards were given out at the WorldSkills Africa Competition's concluding event on Saturday, April 2, 2022.

The Ghanaian team 

 

Ghana's team competed against competitors from Kenya, Namibia, South Africa, Uganda, Rwanda, Madagascar, Zambia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, and a WorldSkills Organization refugee. 

 

Welding, Web Technology, Mechatronics, Automobile Technology, Mechanical Engineering CAD, Fashion Technology, Hairdressing, Electrical Installation, and Bricklaying were among the competition
