SOLAR TAXI TO PROVIDE AFFORDABLE TRANSPORTATION TO GHANAIANS

Sun powered Taxi, an e-portability organization is set to give Ghanaians reasonable transportation with its Solar Taxi Application to facilitate the weight of high vehicle tolls while settling environmental change issues.

 

It tries to offer new and inventive methods of transport in a cleaner and harmless to the ecosystem way.

 

Mr Gilbert Sefa Nuwordu, the Head of Solar Taxi Ride expressed this at the media send off of the Solar Taxi Application (App) on Thursday, in Accra.

 

The App, which will empower clients to hail an electric ride will begin procedure on Friday, April 1, 2022, at the East Legon and Airport people group inside a 10-kilometer range.

 

The vehicles run on batteries that are accused of power, with additional versatile batteries.

 

Mr Nuwodu said reasonable transportation was essential considering the increasing expense of fuel which had expanded transportation passages to around 100% since the start of this current year.

 

He said as the interest for transportation choices was rising so was the rising adverse consequence of contamination of the climate which was a contributing element to environmental change.

 

'' The organization evaluations to save the climate of 2,000,000 tons of carbon dioxide emanations each year while saving the normal Ghanaian drove by GH¢10,000 every year on transportation cost,'' he added.

 

The Head said the Solar Taxi App would offer 80% less expensive rates than the other ride hailing applications.

 

He guaranteed clients of the App of a less expensive expense and no utilization of fuel to drivers during traffic floods on other ride hailing applications.

 

The organization, he expressed, would before the current year's over ready 100 electric vehicles, which would be a chance for 100 youngsters to be utilized to facilitate the joblessness challenge in the country.

 

Mr Thomas Takyi, the Managing Director for Taufic Taya Transport and Logistics said regardless of the advancement of organizations and the progressive improvement of the production of occupations for the adolescent, they affected the climate.

 

He noticed that the expansion in the cost of fuel had dialed back organizations; henceforth the utilization of a vehicle that didn't run on fuel would be advantageous.

 

''We currently have 15 electric vehicles added to our armada of vehicles and we are anticipating changing all fuel consuming vehicles more and even to electric,'' he said.

 

He approached all Ghanaians to make the most of the open door and disparage the Solar Taxi App.

 

Ghana's Solar Taxi began as a task sent off by Kumasi Hive in organization with the Mastercard Foundation in September 2018 to lessen destitution, establish work and safeguard the climate.
