Angry Akyim Asunafo youngsters have demolished the home of a suspect who fired firearms during a land dispute.
The suspect is reported to be one of the perpetrators who assaulted and injured more than eight residents over a dispute over the ownership of a galamsey site.
The death of one person has sparked outrage among the youth.
According to the evidence acquired, the enraged adolescent exacted retribution by setting fire to the suspect's home at morning.
Due to the escalating tensions, several residents have been compelled to leave their houses.
A group of residents is claimed to have led an excavation operation to turn a farmland into a galamsey site, which sparked the conflict.
However, several visitors to the site attacked them with machetes and other weapons without provocation, resulting in injuries.
