He was a center-back for Real Madrid for 16 years, and he captained the club for six of those years. He is widely regarded as one of history's greatest defenders.

Meanwhile, Ramos had a stressful weekend, as fans of his own team booed him repeatedly during PSG's game against Lorient on Sunday night.
Ramos came on in the 72nd minute to replace Marquinhos, who had been out for two months with an injury, but was met with boos and whistles from the Parc des Princes crowd.
The Spanish center-back was whistled and booed not only when he came on, but also every time he touched the ball.
