At the 2022 Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona, the first production Z06 Corvette coupe raked in a staggering 3.6 million bucks when the gavel fell. Of course, that was for charity, but it's still a jaw-dropping amount for a crack at the first retail Z06 supercar coming out of Bowling Green

Well, GM is doing the same charity deal for front-of-line privileges to buy the first retail production Z06 Corvette C8 drop-top! This one will happen at the 2022 Palm Beach, Florida, Barrett-Jackson auction to be held April 7-9. Look for the convertible 2023 Z06 Corvette to cross the block on Saturday, April 9, around 4:30 p.m. EST on the History Channel to benefit the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF), the nation's largest organization exclusively dedicated to representing historically Black colleges and universities.
