Nana Nsiah Piesie, a well-known Ghanaian musician, was pronounced dead at the 37 Military Hospital after being transported in an ambulance.
This musician is well-known for the song "Police Abaa Akonti." The music sensation died in a car accident in Pokuase, Greater Accra Region, according to Osofo Botwoo, his spiritual father and brother.
When he was brought to the 37 Military Hospital, however, he was not properly cared for. He was taken to the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The musician's brother, Osofo Botwoo, said on Facebook, "It is with a sorrowful heart to confirm the news of our brother and our music great Nana Nsiah Piesie of Police Abaa fame's untimely death to the other side on Monday 4th April, 2022."
The formal announcement and confirmation of the music legend's death sparked an outpouring of condolences on social media. Others criticised the 37 Military Hospital for failing to save the musician's life, while others conveyed sympathy to his family.
