Kwesi Pratt on Kokrokoo

Kwesi Pratt Jnr., a seasoned journalist, is outraged by claims implying that God is supporting Ghana's President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, in his administration.

Mr. Pratt, speaking about the approval of the E-Levy Bill, alluded to statements made by some members of the ruling New Patriotic Party who claim that the President's actions are endorsed by God.

Those people, he believes, should cease making statements like "God doesn't have a party card."

Mr. Pratt claimed on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo' program that his submissions were as follows: "If you say that, God appears to be political. As if God were holding an NPP card, but you already know that God isn't a member of any political party."

He also expressed his opposition to the E-levy, which is set to take effect in May of this year.

According to him, the policy will be a hardship to less privileged Ghanaians because of the way it has been set up.

He described how many strive to obtain Ghc 100 or more, only to be charged by the government for their electronic transactions.

Mr. Pratt was perplexed as to why the road tolls had been eliminated, claiming that "nobody complained about the road tolls."

The only complaint people made was that collecting 1 cedi as toll was a small amount and so called for it to be increased".

The seasoned Journalist believed the ordinary Ghanaian will be at a huge disadvantage with this E-levy policy.
