Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney believes Paul Pogba would be better off leaving the club.
The 29-year-future old's at the Premier League club is uncertain, as his contract is set to expire in the summer.
According to SkySports, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), and Juventus have contacted his representatives about a possible transfer.
Rooney believes Pogba's departure from Manchester United is for the best. According to the former Manchester United striker, the Frenchman has fallen short of expectations.
"I think it's probably gotten to the point now where I think it's probably best for him to move on," Rooney told SkySports. If Paul is honest with himself, I believe he hasn't had the impact he would have liked since returning to Manchester United."
Pogba is an important member of France's national team, having played a key role in the country's World Cup victory in 2018.
Rooney believes he is a different player for his country, stating: "When I see him play for France, he's a completely different player. France has the ability, vision, and control of the game in every game. It just hasn't worked out for him at Manchester United, and I believe there are a few reasons for this.
Wayne Rooney on why Paul Pogba hasn't had an impact at Manchester
The current Derby County manager was asked why he believed Pogba hadn't had the influence on the United side that many had expected when he rejoined the club in 2015.
Pogba has played under current interim boss Ralf Rangnick, caretaker Michael Carrick, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Jose Mourinho during his time at the club.
Rooney believes it comes down to a lack of a settled manager as to why things haven't turned out so well for the Frenchman at Manchester United.
