Sobhi said he exhorted Salah, 29, to leave Anfield, just for the Egypt forward to say he was probably going to broaden an agreement that runs until June 2023.
"I have encouraged him to proceed with his excursion at a club other than Liverpool, yet his bearing presently is to restore his agreement," Sobhi said.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said he was "blissful" with progress on another arrangement.
"The definitive gatherings are conversing with one another and that is all I want," Klopp said.
Salah said in January he needed to remain at Liverpool however that his future depended on the club.
"They know what I need. I'm not requesting insane stuff," he told GQ magazine at that point.
"The organization have [been] told the circumstance. It's in their grasp."
Salah's representative Ramy Abbas Issa tweeted snickering emoticons in March after Klopp's past case that he was "totally fine" with progress on an arrangement.
