Mr Abdul Mumin Issah, an MCE in Takoradi earlier this year was captured in a video assaulting a Police Officer on duty. According to the assaulted officer, the MCE was driving on the pedestrian portion of the road, which is a violation of traffic regulations.
Based this issue President Akuffo Addo suspended the MCE untill further notice.
He was charged with assault among others, against a public officer on duty and was arraigned for court on February 4, 2022. The court adjourned the case to March 17, 2022 after the MCE pleaded not guilty of all charges and was granted Bail. Since then, no news about this case has been in the public space.
However, according to sources, President Akuffo has allegedly reinstated the Takoradi MCE despite facing court charges.
