WHY ARE YOU A BOOK?

Earlier today, I chanced on an exercise book when I needed a leaflet for a quick writing. Instead of going on with my intention, its cover got me staring and sent me into a wild, deep thought. This book had my name, a course, and code written on it. It didn’t take long before I surmised that many are living a life of this book. What? An exercise book? Why will you think that? Yeah! That’s why I’m here to ask you “Why are you a book?”.

Labels are good, but many of them attract consequential limitations. The ordinary empty book has a great potential to be anything a book can, including that of individual papers. Tags, like reading, writing, etc, constrict its power and the perceived abilities, further, narrow as more labels come in. This is why there’s a vast distinction, in your mind, between an idle paper and the one fixed in a book. I bet you can think of more things to do with a free sheet than when it goes between a front-back hard cover.

Just a single paper, it is caged in a cover, labeled “exercise” and boxed in “name and course”. Imagine enormous uses if we identify it as the individual sheet it is. Like my exercise book, most of us are in several layers of shields. Our potentials aren’t treated as they should because we’ve clipped them together, bodied them and ran them under many markers. We construct these barriers in oblivion and they’re destroying us. Break those shackles so you can harness your utmost capabilities. Note that we only label to define the framework within which we can operate.

The more we define our limitations, the fewer options we have and, as a result, the lesser chance we get to explode. It is understood some wend us in life. For those, we’re aware their absence causes undesirable effects. However, most labels are nothing more than obstacles. They only live inside our head and restrict us from even trying or knowing our best potentials.

Remember how you now easily do things you could’ve sworn you were incapable of doing during childhood? Yeah, that was one label. LoL
