_“Hear me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin: The LORD is with you while you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you "_ *2 Chronicles 15:2 (ESV)*
? Let us be careful we are not deluded to think that God is on our side while we live like devils. Sometimes people and events of life tempt us to take our own destiny into our own hands by responding to situations as godless people of the world would. Our constant reminder must be that we can never please God if we ignore his ways. We cannot get God's attention while we remain in our sinful ways. Asa was one of the very wicked Kings Israel ever had. He led the nation astray and worshiped many foreign gods. However, Asa had a very humble heart when he was confronted by the Prophet Azariah over his waywardness. His repentance restored him to God's protection. We need to purify our hearts and let God have his way in our lives. Have you left all your ungodly lifestyles and are truly committed to doing God's will? The longer you take to turn to God, the worse your situation becomes. Go back to God with a new resolve like King Asa did. Turn to God and be at peace with him.
