Barcelona 'needs to sign Galan to contend with Alba' (Reuters)
Barcelona is supposedly intending to move for Celta Vigo protector Javi Galan throughout this mid-year's exchange window.
The 27-year-old joined Celta from Huesca the previous summer and has been a solid structure for the Sky Blues during the 2021-22 mission, contributing three goals in 31 appearances in all contests.
Galan actually has over four years left to run on his agreement in Vigo, but as per AS, Barcelona will endeavor to sign the Spaniard in the impending business sector.
The report asserts that the Catalan monsters view him as the best player to contend with Jordi Alba for the left-back spot at Camp Nou next term.
Barcelona is purportedly dazzled by Galan's "speed and power" and will open discussions with Celta once the 2021-22 mission has finished up.
In contrast to Galan this late spring, Benfica's Alex Grimaldo and Real Betis' Alex Moreno are accepted to be options in contrast to Galan.
Alba remains a key player for Barcelona, appearing in all games this season and contributing two goals and nine assists. He recently turned 33 and has had injury issues in 2021-22.
