It was announced that, three members for parliament have been refered to the Privileges committee over continuous absenteeism. These MP's who went contrary to the rules of the house are Honorable Adwoa Sarfo, Honorable Kennedy Agyapong and Honorable Henry Quartey. It is likely that, these members of parliament will be kicked out of parliament base on continuous absenteeism.
In relation to this issue, Honorable Muntaka did not agree with the speaker on why the three members of parliament should be made to face privileges committee. Honorable Muntaka insist that, the three MP's cannot be kicked out of parliament because of absenteeism.
Kelvin Ekow Taylor reacted to the words of Honorable Muntaka. According to Kelvin Taylor, he is very disappointed in Honorable Muntaka for making that particular statement. Kelvin Taylor added that, NDC cannot win 2024 elections because of Muntaka's attitude. Kelvin Taylor appeal to the people in Muntaka's constituency not to vote for Muntaka in 2024 elections.
" I do not understand what Muntaka is doing. Going contrary to the rules has no other option than the law to be applied. Kennedy Agyapong, Adwoa Sarfo and Henry Quartey must be kicked out of parliament base on absenteeism. But Muntaka to stand against such a decision, is very bad. NDC cannot win 2024 elections because of Muntaka. Those in his constituency must vte him out in 2024 else NDC will go to Opposition because of Muntaka's attitude." - Kelvin Taylor stated.
