In the UEFA Champions League scoring charts for 2021/22, Robert Lewandowski is ahead of Sébastien Haller and Karim Benzema.

After Cristiano Ronaldo in 2017/18, Haller was only the second player to appear in all six group games. Haller had already become the first player since Marco van Basten in Ajax's 5-1 victory over Sporting CP to score four goals on his Champions League debut.

Nonetheless, Lewandowski, who had nine goals in Bayern's first five games, took over as the competition's top scorer with a hat-trick in the round of 16 second leg against Salzburg, bringing his total to 12. Unlike Haller, whose Ajax side was eliminated in the round of 16 by Benfica, Lewandowski still has the opportunity to add to his tally this season.

Karim Benzema, who scored hat-tricks in successive games for Real Madrid against Paris in the round of 16 second leg and Chelsea in the quarter-final first leg, is next on the list with 11 goals.
