The first leg of the UEFA Europa League Quarter Finals has come and gone, but the Top Teams are still competing for the title and a place in the Champions League fold next season.

Barcelona continue to believe in their resilient offensive style of football after trailing Frankfurt 3 minutes into the second half after eliminating Galatasaray of Turkey 2-1 on aggregate in the Round of 16 round. In the 66th minute, Ferran Torres nullified Knauff's score to give Barcelona hope. Barcelona, on the other hand, were unable to capitalize on Frankfurt's red card, which was used to dismiss Silva Melo after he broke the rule in the 78th minute for his second yellow card. Barcelona ultimately drew 1-1 in Germany to set the stage for the last showdown at Camp Nou.

Following their 4-2 victory over Bayern Leverkusen in the round of 16, Atalanta drew a crucial away draw with Leipzig in Germany after a tense game. In the 17th minute, Zappacosta's through pass found Muriel, who converted it into a goal to put Atalanta ahead. Although Andre Silva's penalty after Demiral fouled Nkunku was poorly executed, Orban equalized for Leipzig in the 58th minute to draw the first leg of their quarter-final battle.

Following Braga's victory over Monaco in the round of 16, Ruiz lit up the night with the game's first goal after a goal was ruled out by the VAR and another struck the crossbar. Ruiz's goal five minutes before halftime gave the Portuguese team a halftime lead over Scotland's Rangers, who had been hot in the Round of 16 so far. Both sides failed to score in the second half, but there was some terrific football played. Rangers were defeated on foreign grounds, but they will get a second opportunity when they host Braga in the rematch.

West Ham, the only English club in the Europa League, took another courageous step against Lyon of France in their quarter finals first leg match after eliminating favored Sevilla in the Round of 16. Despite the fact that Aaron Cross was controversially ejected by the referee following his tug on Dembele. The loss in personnel had no effect on the team, as Jarrod Bowen's goal in the 52nd minute gave West Ham the lead. Ndombele leveled for the visiting Lyon of France after much work to make it 1-1 on the first night, just as the English team was exerting their tactical discipline on the away side.
