The Premier League 2 Player of the Month award for March 2022 has been nominated by seven Under-23 players.
The Premier League's Football Development Panel chose the shortlist after PL2 team coaches recommended the greatest opponent performance in each of their league matches during the month. The winner will also be decided by the Panel.
Nominees for the PL2 Player of the Year Award
Devine, Alfie (TOT)
Devine, a seventeen-year-old midfielder for Tottenham Hotspur, has scored twice in three games. He scored in a 2-1 loss to Arsenal in the north London derby, and he finished the month with another goal in a 3-1 win over Leicester City.
Lee Harkin is a writer who lives in New York City (WOL)
In March, the forward scored three of Wolverhampton Wanderers' 11 Division 2 goals as the club won all three of their games. Harkin scored twice in a 4-0 win over West Bromwich Albion and once more in a 4-2 win over Southampton. The 18-year-old also played a part in Wigan Athletic's 1-0 Premier League Cup victory.Marques, Christian (WOL)
In March, the 19-year-old was a crucial role in Wolves' defense, contributing to two clean sheets in three league games. Marques scored against West Bromwich Albion and was named captain for Southampton's victory. In the PL Cup victory over Wigan, he also had another shutout.
James Norris (LIV) Norris, a 19-year-old defender, was a key figure in both defense and attack as Liverpool went undefeated in Division 1 for a month. He scored in a 7-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur and helped the Reds retain a clean sheet against Premier League leaders Manchester City.Rankine, Dion (CHE)
The 19-year-old midfielder appeared in two games in Division 1 as Chelsea went undefeated for the month. After helping them draw 1-1 with West Ham United, Rankine assisted the Blues' goal in their first win since January, a 1-0 victory over Leeds United.
Tony Springett is a British actor (NOR)
The 19-year-old striker had a productive month, scoring four goals and providing an assist in three games as Norwich City climbed to second place in Division 2. Springett scored twice in a 2-1 win over Fulham, who had already clinched the title, before scoring twice more and setting up a goal in a 4-0 win over Stoke City.
Bradley Young (AVL), a 19-year-old midfielder for Aston Villa, appeared in both of his team's games.He started the month by setting up the first goal and scored the second as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Southampton.
