For connecting her with the demolition of a structure at Roman Ridge in October last year, a Deputy Minister of Finance has sued the editor-in-chief of the New Crusading Guide, Kweku Baako Jnr, the publication, and a journalist.

A article about the destruction was published under the heading 'Dubai Embassy destroying spree, Minister and husband fingered,' according to Abena Osei-Asare.

According to the facts available, an attempt was made to link the former President, John Dramani Mahama, to the demolition when the media initially broke the story on October 18, 2021.

The property was allegedly demolished by the Ayawaso West Municipal Assembly because the land belonged to the former president.

On April 4, 2022, the publication purportedly reprinted the same article.

Kweku Baako Jr., New Crusading Guide, and one other person are being sued by the Deputy Finance Minister.

According to reports, journalist Frank Amponsah met with the Deputy Finance Minister's spouse's lawyer in October 2021 and was given full access to all court records and evidence connected to the case, which began in 2002 and resulted in a decision in 2015.

The land in question was the subject of a High Court verdict in 2015, which found in favor of the owner, Frank Nuamah, against three individuals, Adjei Darko, Francis Don Lartey, and Alhaji Adams.

When the court entered into effect in May 2016, the plaintiff, Frank Nuamah, was given possession of the property.

The High Court, in a judgment written by Justice Afia Serwaa Asare Botwe (Mrs.) on November 2020, dismissed a request by one of the defendants in the case, Alhaji Adams, to have the judgment set aside.
