Sporting Lisbon, a Portuguese club, has confirmed the acquisition of Ghana international Abdul Fatawu Issahaku.
The 18-year-old has signed a five-year contract with the club, with a 60 million euro release clause.
On Wednesday, April 6, Issahaku was introduced to the Cristiano Ronaldo Academy in Alcochete.
"I'm overjoyed to be here; it's wonderful." In his first formal interview, he informed Sporting's publication and Sporting TV how nicely they accepted him.
"I enjoy ending it [shot], especially from a distance." It will force me to mature. Everyone has aided me by telling me what I need to accomplish," he said as he explained what it would mean for him to play in Portugal.
The youth made waves at the U-20 AFCON after being named player of the tournament, and he began the 2021/22 season with Dreams FC of Ghana's Premier League.
The attacker has been practicing with Sporting's B squad since February, but will later join the senior team for the summer pre-season ahead of the 2022/23 season.
