Liverpool have agreed their first summer signing with Fulham attacker Fabio Carvalho set to join the club at the end of the season.
The Reds came close to signing the teenager in the January transfer window but the move fell through in the final hours. With the Fulhamstar's contract expiring at the end of the season, though, the Reds have now sealed a contract with the player while a fee that could rise to £7.7m has been agreed with his club.
It comes as Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has vowed not to let the Reds "punish" his side in Sunday's crunch Premier League clash at the Etihad. And Fabinho's fitness status has been revealed after he picked up a nasty head injury in Tuesday’s Champions League quarter-final first leg victory over Benfica.
