Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard, Edinson Cavani, Juan Mata, Tahith Chong, and Lee Grant are all set to leave Manchester United when their contracts expire in June.Unhappy Players who want to leave Manchester United this summer have been advised they won't be able to do so unless they are out of contract.

Six United players are out of contract this summer and are expected to become free agents after failing to reach an agreement on new contracts. When their contracts expire in June, Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard, Edinson Cavani, Juan Mata, Tahith Chong, and Lee Grant will all be on their way.

At least six other players, including Anthony Martial, Donny van de Beek, Dean Henderson, Phil Jones, Axel Tuanzebe, and Eric Bailly, are said to want to leave. Cristiano Ronaldo's future is also unknown, with United appearing to be on the verge of missing out on fourth place and Champions League football at Old Trafford next season. Marcus Rashford's future is still up in the air. However, because of those who have already left with their contracts up, United has notified the squad that those who are still under contract will not be permitted to depart.United may be willing to allow a handful of players depart this summer once fresh additions have been made, but only towards the conclusion of the transfer window, according to reports. Erik ten Hag, who is poised to be named United's new manager, is anticipated to pursue a number of targets, including his £70 million-rated Ajax defender Jurrien Timber, as well as a new striker and midfielder.

United has notified those players who will be barred from departing that when new manager ten Hag takes over this summer, he would give every member of the squad a chance to shine. The aim is that between now and the conclusion of the season, this will act as a motivator for United's under-performing players to step up. Meanwhile the Austrian Football Association has denied that its sporting director met with temporary United manager Ralf Rangnick.
