Following heavy rain on Friday, April 8, certain parts of Accra were inundated.
The Kasoa Highway section between Weija Barrier and West Hills Mall, as well as the Central Business District, Sahara, and Odawna, have all been impacted by the one-hour torrential rain.
While many commuters waited for the rain to stop, others drove cautiously through the water that had flooded the majority of the road.
A thunderstorm was forecast by the Ghana Meteorological Agency on Friday, a few hours before the rain began.
In a short warning, the agency warned that "moderate to heavy Thunderstorm and Rain Activity reported near the coast of the Volta Region around 8:30 a.m. is predicted to strike most of the southern sections of the country in the following hours."
Some Ghanaians have gone to social media to report on the floods in their communities.
