'I'll get killed for saying this' -Kyle Walker admits to Man City ahead of decisive Liverpool match

Kyle Walker, a Manchester City defender, has spoken about the club's crucial Premier League match against Liverpool on Sunday.

Manchester City defender Kyle Walker likened matches against Liverpool to a "game of chess," and explained what will separate the two teams this weekend.

Liverpool travels to the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, hoping to seize control of the title race. They currently trail Pep Guardiola's table-topping side by one point.

And, with the outcome of the championship potentially on the line, Walker has shared his thoughts on what he believes could be the deciding factor.

"It's a matter of concentration," England's right-back told The Telegraph. "The mental side or a stroke of genius will most likely separate the two teams." Concentration must be maintained at a high level for 90 minutes plus injury time. "You can't turn off for a second." Given the players Liverpool has, one second of lapsed concentration by a defender will result in a goal nine times out of ten. It's a chess game. Who will be the first to make a bad decision? "One wrong move, and it's game over."

The Reds are still in contention for a historic quadruple. They have already won the League Cup, are in the Champions League quarterfinals, and will face City again on Saturday, April 16 in the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

City can win a treble because they, too, are in the last eight of the Champions League. It is a trophy that has eluded their manager, Pep Guardiola, since his arrival in Manchester. Walker, on the other hand, would rather keep the Premier League trophy than win the Champions League or the FA Cup.

"I'll get killed for saying this, but I'd still say the Premier League," he said. Just because I grew up in England and know what it means and how difficult it is to win one... I consider some players who have won it numerous times. "Why can't I just go do that?"

On Tuesday, both teams were in Champions League action. Liverpool defeated Benfica 3-1 in the first leg while City beat Atletico Madrid 1-0 at home. If both sides progress, they will avoid each other in the semi-final draw.
