Christian Eriksen has supported Brentford's expectations of keeping hold of him this late spring by uncovering he is "exceptionally cheerful" at the club.

The midfielder, who experienced a heart failure on the pitch playing for Denmark at Euro 2020 last year, has succeeded since joining Brentford on a free exchange in January.

Eriksen scored his first objective for the Bees last Saturday in the 4-1 triumph at Chelsea and he will expect to expand on that when they point toward the West Ham on Sunday.

The 30-year-old marked just a six-month contract with Brentford, who are frantic to keep him past this late spring, yet he is blissful in west London.

"All that has been quite sure, just the Covid time when I didn't play that game at Leicester," said Eriksen.

"Be that as it may after it has been very endearing to be here. The greeting from the fans, players, and staff, truly everybody, has been exceptionally glad for me. I'm extremely glad to be here.

"To win 4-1 at Stamford Bridge as a group is a gigantic assertion and it will provide the entire club with a great deal of certainty against the top groups.

"Every one of the most recent couples of long stretches of time has been exceptionally enthusiastic and extremely satisfying clearly for me to be back playing and to score my first objective at Stamford Bridge."
