The Ghanian singer and rapper Black sheriff has opened up on how Nigerian musician and the “African giant” Burnaboy heard his music and made a remix with him. Speaking to Berla Mundi in an interview on tv3, Black sheriff revealed it was Nigerian dancer Poco lee who first played his second sermon to Burnaboy and he loved it.
He further added that, after Poco lee played the song to Burnaboy, he loved it, and a member of his team reach out to him Blacko explaining how Burnaboy loved the song. He said, he and Burnaboy quickly engaged in a video call for about 20 minutes and that was how the remix came about. Poco lee since he discovered Black sheriff has been a blessing to him by sharing his songs and links on his 2 million followers' Instagram account.
Burnaboy on the other hand after having the video call was seen jamming and happily singing the second sermon word for word even with the twi-part. The remix currently has over 3.2 million views on YouTube. He is currently out with another song dubbed “Kwaku the traveler” which speaks about his recent ordeals. It currently surpassed 1.2 million views days after its release.
