Neighbors of Stephen Oduro, also known as Watara, who lived in Ahinkofi in the Sekondi Takoradi Metropolis of the Western Region, were shocked to learn of his unexpected death. The young man, who is in his late thirties and works as a mason, has lived in the town for many years. Many people hire him to construct buildings for them because of his hard work and dedication. Stephen Oduro is epileptic, and everytime he has a seizure, life becomes extremely tough for him. He is primarily attacked at night, and his energy is tough to contain for his neighbors.

Stephen Oduro suffered a seizure, and his neighbors were able to calm him down after a few hours. When he got stable, nearly everyone in the house went to work. His friend, Mensah, was left in the house to keep an eye on him, but the unthinkable happened. Stephen Oduro suffered another seizure and fell into the house's well. Mensah began scouring the entire home for him, but he was nowhere to be found. He went to the well to get some water, and it was then that he found Stephen Oduro had already perished after falling into it.

An eyewitness, Mensah, tells BeaNana in an interview that he witnessed his friend's lifeless body floating in the well. To rescue Stephen Oduro's body from the Well, police and members of the Ghana National Fire Service were summoned. They lowered a long rope into the well and hauled the body out, which was taken to the mortuary for an autopsy and further inquiry.
