Greenwood was arrested on January 30 and spent time in police detention.
A police statement at the time stated, "Greater Manchester Police was made aware of online social media photographs and videos posted by a woman describing episodes of physical assault."
"An inquiry was initiated, and we can report that a guy in his twenties has been arrested on suspicion of Assault and rape. He is still being held in detention for interrogation. The investigation is still ongoing."
He was released on bail shortly after, but Manchester United suspended him and he hasn't played for the club since.
The majority of Greenwood's sponsors, including Nike, have quit working with him.
The 20-year-next old's step is to see if he will be charged formally, and if so, to prepare for a trial.
