Justice Abdulai, a private lawyer, has submitted a request for a review of the Supreme Court Deputy Speaker vote matter.
The Supreme Court declared unanimously on March 9 that a Deputy Speaker of Parliament retains his voting rights as an MP even when presiding over sessions.
The Deputy Speaker can also be counted when forming a quorum for decision-making, according to the court.
Justice Abdulai, who brought the lawsuit that led to this decision, feels the judges disregarded crucial laws and constitutional provisions in reaching this determination.
