The Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) promotes good governance, democracy, and human rights throughout the Commonwealth.
The CPA's mission is to increase awareness of parliamentary democracy, particularly good governance, openness and accountability, respect for the rule of law, and individual rights and freedoms, regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion, or culture.
The Majority Leader presently holds the joint record for being the 4th Republican's longest-serving member of Parliament.
He shares this honor with the current Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, who has also served in the House for seven consecutive terms.
The committee will be organizing the program for this year's Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference, which will be hosted in Canada, according to Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, who is also the Minister for Parliamentary Affairs.
The conference will be held in Accra, Ghana, in August of next year.
Before flying for Delhi to see his counterpart, India's Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, the Majority Leader will appear as a Special Guest personality at the Indian Subcontinent Conference.
