Police stated on Friday that a 20-year-old Makola law student was stabbed to death, while his friend, who was also attacked, allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a train.
According to investigators, the boy was stabbed at least 14 times, according to his father Joseph.
They said the purported murder in Accra Amasaman late on Friday was the result of a two-year feud.
When the attackers summoned the two companions for a meeting, they were on their way back to Amasaman. According to the authorities, they then pursued the pair, hitting them with iron roads and stabbing them with sharp objects.
Joseph told the police that he and his family raced to the hospital as soon as they received the news, but he was pronounced dead.
Joseph claimed that his son's assailants threatened him as well.
According to the authorities, the Makola law student's buddy, who also suffered serious injuries but survived the attack, allegedly took his own life by jumping in front of a train. They said that the two men were on their way home from lectures in Accra.
Musah Yakubu, Osman, Ibrahim, and Mohammed, among others, have been charged with riots, unlawful assembly, murder, criminal intimidation, and criminal conspiracy under sections 148 (riots), 149 (unlawful assembly), 302 (murder), 506 (criminal intimidation), and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the Ghana Penal Code at the Amasaman Police Station.
All of the suspects are said to be missing, according to the police.
