When numerous players in the Ghanaian beverage industry gathered at the Kempinski Gold Coast City Hotel in Accra for the sixth edition of the annual Ghana Beverages Awards, it was a night of ecstasy (GBA).
The awards scheme, which was created by Global Media Alliance, an integrated marketing and communications firm, is aimed at rewarding excellence in Ghana's beverage industry while also providing a platform for stakeholders and key players in the industry to network and discuss issues that will help the industry grow.
Ernest Boateng, the Chief Executive Executive Officer of the Global Media Alliance, spoke at the occasion and praised the beverage industry for its contribution to national growth, as well as the scheme's commitment to helping the industry.
"The beverage business is a major contributor to the economy."

Top beverage firms will be honored at the Ghana Beverage Awards 2021, which will be held amid sparkle and glamour.
Michael Okyere Baafi, the Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, guaranteed the beverage industry of government support and praised industry participants for their multiple initiatives aimed at giving back to the communities in which they operate.
