An Okada rider was killed unnecessarily on the streets of Anaji, in the Effiakwesimintsim Municipality of the Western Region. The young man, whose name is still unknown, was discovered dead in the middle of the road, his motorcycle completely damaged.
According to reports, the young man owns a motorcycle that he utilizes for all of his business and daily chores. He went out early in the morning to feed his family near the Accra station in Takoradi, but his death was announced. When the tragic occurrence occurred, he was driving down the same road with the same number of vehicles as usual.
He was run over by an articulator vehicle going at high speed as he entered the area surrounding the Anaji retail mall. The rider was unable to cope with the pain and died on the scene. Unfortunately, the Okada rider's head was broken, and his brains popped out onto the floor as a result of the accident. Many individuals were intrigued to the depressing image since they had never seen anything like it before.
Some witnesses to the accident chastised the articulator driver for speeding through the city and sadly murdering the Okada Rider.
Others contend that the Okada rider was in the wrong lane when the accident occurred. Meanwhile, officials of the Ghana Police Service have taken the Okada rider's body to the mortuary for an autopsy, and the articulator driver is assisting the investigation.
This should serve as a reminder to all Okada riders to drive safely. The situation might become considerably more deadly if the rider is not wearing a helmet. On the other hand, drivers must be aware of other road users because their actions have the potential to kill others.
