Takefusa Kubo is a real wonderkid, and maybe Mallorca's most innovative player, yet he was sidelined and not utilized until the 54th moment of the previous game.
Aguirre made sense of precisely why:
"He prepared as a starter the entire week and I could have done without it by any stretch of the imagination. So I took him out, and explained to him why he wouldn't begin. He had the right to begin, if not for those instructional courses where he did gravely."
He hasn't frozen him out altogether, and was glad to involve him as a sub - so, all in all his group were protecting for their lives and Kubo had minimal opportunity to involve his innovative and specialized gifts regardless.
Regardless, Aguirre's choice paid off. Yet again his group combat to a hard battled prevail upon Atletico to end their awful run and to give them new expectation in the assignment fight.
These are the sort of choices Aguirre is known for, and this one may very well have started a run towards wellbeing.
