Man City vs Liverpool final scoreline ,goals updates and man of the match award
Manchester City will play Liverpool in what appears to be a Premier League title decider, with both teams having played 30 games but being separated by only one point.
A single Premier League game does not determine the champions of the season...but in this case, it might.
Manchester City will host Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon in what has been billed as a title decider, and rightly so. With only eight games remaining, both teams are separated by a single point at the top of the tree.
Pep Guardiola's team enters the game having won their previous league match against Burnley. Meanwhile, Liverpool has won their last five Premier League games.
The City manager, on the other hand, has been playing mind games ahead of the game, pointing out his opponent's flaws. "I think both teams are good, but we try to find their weak points," City manager Pep Guardiola said. "They are few, but we try to bring them to light."
"It was a fantastic game," said De Bruyne (MAN OF THE MATCH)
Kevin De Bruyne stated to Sky Sports: "It was difficult. To be fair, I thought we played very well. I know we conceded two goals, but the way we played today was excellent, and we should have scored more. We keep going because it is what it is. The quality and intensity are there, as evidenced by today's performance. It was a fantastic game."
"Today we played very well, we had the upper hand, we didn't win," he said of the title race. "However, this is the way we must play for the remainder of the game." I believe it is similar (the effect a point has) to people saying that whoever wins the title goes there, but I don't believe either team thought that. The schedule makes it difficult for both teams to win games; we'll try, but the way we played today is the way we need to go forward."
