Following his 12-round defeat against American Ryan Garcia on Saturday, Ghanaian boxer Emmanuel "Game Boy" Tagoe is projected to earn an estimated $250,000.
According to projections, Ryan Garcia, the star of the two, would take home a larger portion of the prize pool. According to Total Sport, 'The Flash' will earn a guaranteed purse of $1 million as well as 70% pay-per-view revenue. Emmanuel Tagoe, on the other hand, will receive a guaranteed purse of $250k plus a 30% pay-per-view bonus.
Ryan Garcia, 23, defeated Tagoe, 33, in a 12-round unanimous decision victory in the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.. The three judges scored the bout at 119-108, 119-108 and 118-109 in favour of Garcia who accorded respect to the Ghanaian for a good show.
Both boxers have been absent from the rung for sometime with Garcia’s last fight being a stoppage over former Olympic champion champion, Luke Campbell in 2021 and Tagoe earning unanimous decision win over Mason Menard in 2020.
