Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong, Executive Chairman of the Jospong Group of Companies (JGC), has been awarded an honorary Doctor of Science degree by the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS).
In appreciation of his exceptional contributions to environmental cleanliness and higher education in Ghana and abroad, he was honored.
Last Saturday, at the second session of the 6th UHAS Congregation in Ho, Volta Region, the Chairman of the UHAS Council, Justice Victor J.M. Dotse of the Supreme Court, and the Vice-Chancellor of UHAS, Professor John Owusu Gyapong, were honored alongside distinguished Dr Siaw Agyepong.
At the occasion, 692 students received degrees in a variety of academic fields. Dr. Siaw Agyepong praised God for his life after receiving the honors, emphasizing how touched he was by the university's recognition.
"I also want to thank the UHAS Council Members, my wife, Mrs. Adelaide Agyepong, my children, the Jospong Group of Companies management and personnel, and everyone who has invested in my life," he said.
He said that his organization will provide the UHAS with a $100,000 check to establish a research prize program.
