The case of footballer Richard Appiah, who is suspected of killing two children and hiding their body parts in a refrigerator, has been postponed till April 28.

The Court, presided over by Justice Ama Adomako Kwakye, made the decision due to a lack of time and the prosecuting officer's failure to appear at the hearing on the latest postponed date, February 23, 2022.

However, a report presented before Justice Ama Adomako Kwakye by Police Chief Inspector Anane advised that the second accused individual, whose identity had been kept for security reasons, be freed by the Court.

Following the conclusion of the inquiry, the report recommended to the Court that the main suspect, Richard Appiah, be prosecuted with manslaughter.

The Attorney in Charge of the Matter, Justice Ama Adomako Kwakye, stated that the Attorney in Charge of the Case should appear in court on the next adjourned date to provide an update and enable the case to move on.

On the other side, the accused, Richard Appiah, pleaded to the court that as a player, the court should allow him to train.

Justice Ama Adomako Kwakye instructed the suspect to hire counsel and submit an appeal with the Appeals Court, requesting that his plea be heard.

According to the article, the court has subsequently discharged the second accused individual.
