Mr Dennis Tawiah, Chief Executive Officer of Akwaabauk, a well-known Ghanaian international event firm, said the government's efforts to lure more visitors to Ghana would be supported.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo inaugurated the "Destination Ghana" campaign on Monday, with the goal of drawing a million tourists to Ghana each year from the United Kingdom, Europe, and the rest of the globe.

The Ghana Tourism Authority, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, the Ghana High Commission in the United Kingdom, and the Ghana Tourism Authority, launched the campaign to build on the success of Ghana's "Year of Return" campaign, which attracted a large number of tourists to the country.

Mr Tawiah stated that his organization was committed to supporting the government's aim of publicizing Ghana's huge tourism attractions and investment prospects.

"The government's objective is to promote Ghana tourism and make it the most visited country in Africa, and we are committed to assisting the government in making this a reality."

"Ghana has a rich cultural legacy and has earned the reputation of being a great destination to do business in Africa as well as have fun vacations, especially in December when we host several programs."

"Our 'December in Ghana' programs indicate our dedication to make Ghana a tourist destination, and this project will push us to do even more, given the one million tourist objective."

Dr Ibrahim Mohammed Awal, Ghana's Minister for Tourism, Mr Akwasi Agyemang, Ghana's High Commissioner to the UK, Mr Papa Owusu Ankoma, British High Commissioner to Ghana, Madam Harriet Thompson, and other key government and private sector industry stakeholders attended the launch of "Destination Ghana."
