At Akyem Asiakwa in the Eastern Region, an unidentified Land Cruiser driver murdered a one-year-old baby and two others.
According to mail from Accra 100.5FM's Eastern Regional, on Saturday, April 9, 2022, Kofi Mitchel, the unidentified driver of the abovementioned Land Cruiser, plowed through a crowd coming from a wedding reception.
According to Accra FM's afternoon broadcast on Sunday, April 10, 2022, the driver at the scene killed the one-year-old baby and two others before speeding away.
Three others, he claimed, were transferred to the Koforidua General Hospital for treatment after suffering various degrees of injury.
In the meantime, the Eastern Regional Police Command has initiated a manhunt for the hit-and-run motorist, as no one has been able to locate the registration number of the speeding Land Cruiser that caused the accident.
