As the EU considers how to impose sanctions on Russian oil, Austrian chancellor Karl Nehammer will pay a visit to Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Monday to warn him that he has "morally lost the fight," according to Austria's foreign minister.

On a day of hectic diplomatic activity, Nehammer will see Putin for the first time since Russia launched its invasion of Ukraine on February 24.

EU foreign ministers are meeting in Luxembourg to explore how to support Ukraine even more, while Joe Biden will meet with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, where the US president is likely to encourage India's leader not to increase Russian crude exports.
