According to reports, Robert Lewandowski has informed Bayern Munich that he will not sign a new contract with the club and has agreed terms with Barcelona.

The striker's current contract with the club expires in 2023, and he has been linked with a move to Barcelona.

According to the Polish television channel TVP Sport, the 33-year-old has informed the club's CEO and legendary goalkeeper Oliver Kahn of his intention to leave and has agreed personal terms with Barcelona.

According to reports, 'all contract terms have been agreed upon,' and Bayern Munich is already preparing for life without the Polish international.

There appears to be no reason for Bayern to refuse to sign Lewandowski to a new contract, especially given that he has scored 46 goals in 40 appearances in all competitions this season.

Despite the fact that the Polish report states that Bayern's authorities are'reluctant' to begin talks over a new contract and that the striker's representatives are 'disappointed,'

If Lewandowski makes the move, he will be the first Polish player to play for Barcelona.

The Catalan giants have already made impressive progress since club legend Xavi took over as manager in place of Ronald Koeman.

When the Dutchman left Barcelona at the end of October, the club was tenth, but they are now second.

They already strengthened their squad in the January transfer window by bringing in Ferran Torres from Manchester City and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who agreed to leave Arsenal.

In his eight seasons at the club, he has evolved into one of the club's all-time greats, trailing only Gerd Muller on the all-time scoring list.

Since joining the club from rivals Borussia Dortmund in 2014, Lewandowski has scored 340 goals in 369 appearances.

Last month, Sky Sports Deutschland reported that Lewandowski said, 'I am open to everything.' 'I'm hushed.' 'Everything that remains to be done regarding contracts is a secondary issue that remains in the background.'
