Dr Samuel Ato Duncan, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ghana's Awareness Healthcare Centre, has disclosed that several powerful people and experts want him dead for discovering an HIV/AIDS treatment.
People are pursuing him, he claims, in order to prevent him from disclosing the medicine that can cure the terrible condition.
He further stated that since 2007, influential Ghanaians and scientists from around the world have attempted to assassinate him in vain.
"I've gotten a lot of threats, a lot of threats to keep away from creating HIV/AIDS treatments," he said during a press conference at his Wusorkrom production center.
He also expressed his displeasure at attempts to stop him from freeing the world from the incurable disease.
"I'm not sure why certain people don't want HIV/AIDS to be eradicated from the world...
Even if I am killed because I have the medicine that can cure HIV/AIDS, someone must continue to produce the HIV/AIDS drug," he stressed.
