Nigerian gospel musician Mercy Chinwo advised a fan to leave her bad marriage after she revealed she was going through domestic abuse in her house. This comes after the death of “Ekueme” hitmaker Osinachi who sources claim died due to the bad marriage and treatment she experienced from her husband. Mercy Chinwo mourning the death of her colleague and friend took to her Instagram page, posted a picture of Osinachi, and captioned it “IT IS WELL” followed by a dove and a heartbroken love emoji.
While others shared their sadness, grieve and condolences in the comment section, one particular follower's comment caught the attention of the singer, and she quickly replied, the user identified as Mercy Annaba revealed
“Aunty mercy I love you as much as I love this woman before now I have always been praying for you and I keep saying to God I don't want aunty mercy to fall a victim to a bad marriage, I know what this woman passed through because I'm going through the same thing now but it is well. Domestic Violence (always pray for your loved ones is a bad experience)”. She added.
Mercy who saw this quickly replied, “you are going through the same what? And you are still there? I don't get it”. She said. This has sparked a lot of conversations on social media with the majority advising the lady to leave the marriage before it's too late.
