The 24th M.A. Mujahid Annual Ramadan Lecture series was hosted in Tamale by the Ghana Academy of Muslim Professionals in partnership with the Ghana Muslim Students Association, with a call for the youth to be inventive in order to help tackle critical problems in their communities.
The conference's topic was "Leveraging Ramadan's Power of Change for the Ummah's Holistic Development."
Miss Khadijah Abdul-Samed, a researcher at the Ghana Academy of Muslim Professionals, called on Muslim youth to play important roles in ensuring the long-term development of their communities at a lecture.
She instructed them to be creative in everything they did and to develop partnerships to address the issues that their communities were facing.
Naa Prof Yakubu Seidu Peligah, former Rector of Tamale Technical University, emphasized the importance of structural changes, people-centered solutions, and collaborative effort in order to achieve a model of prosperity that benefits everyone. He urged young people to enhance their skills in order to take on leadership roles in the country.
The Ghana Academy of Muslim Professionals is a non-political, non-sectarian organization that brings together Muslim professionals from many areas of the economy to collaborate on Muslim advancement and development.
