Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong, the Founder and Executive Chairman of the Jospong Group of Companies, has advised graduates of the University of Health and Allied Sciences in Ho to take advantage of possibilities available to them.
Taking use of existing chances, he added, was critical to reaching greater heights in life, adding:
"Leverage and value the chances you have today and those that will present themselves when you begin your career."
Dr. Agyepong, who was the Guest Speaker at the second session of the University's Sixth Congregation, urged the graduates to put God first in all their pursuits and to let Him guide their life.
He pushed them to push themselves farther, to reach new heights, and to put their newfound knowledge to good use for the betterment of their communities and the country as a whole.
"Have a double eye to see things from afar, a deeper eye to see many kilometers ahead of you, and let that convert into possibilities and chances," he said. Dr. Agyepong gave $100,000 to help the University's research efforts, particularly in the area of sanitation.
"Research is highly vital in waste management to prevent producing advert difficulties," he said, emphasizing the need of research in advancing national growth and properly dealing with sanitation concerns.
The University's Vice-Chancellor, Professor John O. Gyapong, said research continued to increase steadily at the institution, which was garnering international prominence for "the cutting edge and creative research being carried out here at UHAS."
He claimed that the university's research has influenced national policy and provided professors with the knowledge and abilities needed to compete in the international arena.
The Vice-ChancellorChancellor stated on COVID-19 that the University's Public Affairs Directorate works tirelessly to limit any danger to the institution's internal and external communities by controlling the frequency of engagement between the UHAS and its external audiences.
He exhorted the graduates to be highly competent in their fields of employment and to contribute meaningfully to social growth.
