Approximately 8 of the supervisors are currently in police custody and will be arraigned in court, according to Hon. Kwame Antwi, the Municipal Chief Executive of Oforikrom, who confirmed to Kessben TV.
The arrest was made after a young guy who was recruited into the marketing agency filed a police report concerning Qnet's practices, according to the MCE.
The Qnet group's supervisors allegedly took Ghc 4000.00 from the young man who reported his trauma to the police, suggesting that if he referred any new members to the marketing agency, his money would be doubled.
He added that they took GHC 4000.00 from each person up to a total of 40 people.
Hon. Kwame Antwi said on Kessben FM with Nyakoh Abronomah that he had to personally ensure that all the supervisors of the marketing firm with an office in his municipality were arrested.
